Célia Marie

Our eldest daughter, Célia Marie, has developed a wide range of abiding interests.

For example, she loves her sister.

She loves playing on the computer.

She loves her sister.

She loves veggies from the garden.

But most of all, she loves her sister!

Happy Birthday Célia!

Sadie Ann

Sadie Ann is proof that Gilbert blood runs in the veins of our children. Not only does she not have a large, round head, but her calm, quiet demeanor bespeaks her gentle Gilbert ancestry. It was only fair, I suppose, to balance our family out.

Now, if E=mc(2) and the relative velocity at which an object falls in a vacuum
is a function of its mass, then that means... (and yes, I love to suck my thumb)

I'm just making plans for the day I'll be moved into the big-girl bed.

Behold the princess on her blue throne! All her minions must recognize her big-girlness!

My fashion tastes run more towards the chicken-spinach-and-pasta-bake variety.
How do I look?

Um, Ma! People are watching!

Squeaker and the Bug. Friends for ever!

Happy Birthday Sadie, our big one year old!

New Year's Day at the Beach

New Year's Day was a fun one for the Adams family. As is typical, it was a scorcher, but as was atypical, Brian had a day off, so we loaded up the 1990 Camry and headed to the beach with the Orths and the Harts.

It wasn't love at first sight for our girls. The waves knocked them about a bit and the beach wasn't the kind of sand that Célia Marie could use to make sand castles. But the water was shallow and very warm, so they were soon the happiest little girls in all creation. Sadie even found that though not like the sand in the sandbox at home, the sand at Redcliffe was just as tasty.

Afterwards, we all went out for some fish and chips at a local shop and then slept like logs once we got back home.

Hmmm. This is the worst sand in the world for sand castles!

Arrrrggghh! I'm the one-armed, snaggle-tooth sea dawg, Cap'n Chubby Legs! Arrrr!

Happy New Year from the white-legged, Adams family!

A Snapshot of Christmas

So Christmas has come and gone already. I can't believe how fast it went. It may be hard to believe (because of lack of evidence on our blog) but we did actually celebrate Christmas in our home. We set up the tree with a little help from the girls.

We did our traditional Christmas cookies. We even went Christmas caroling this year when we delivered them.

And of course we got pressies (presents)! Thanks Joan for the ADORABLE matching outfits for the girls!

You know you're tired when...

you fall asleep watching TV.

you fall asleep sliding down your bed.

you fall asleep standing up.

um...I can't really explain this one.

P.S. As you may have noticed in the first picture, Célia Marie is now potty-trained!!!!!!
