Cast off! (or Déjà Vu all over again)

I’d like you to take a close look at the following two pictures and tell me what you identify as the common feature.


If your answer includes the cast on Brian’s left arm, you would be correct.

Now, I’d like you to consider that these pictures were taken about 11 weeks apart.

“What?!” you undoubtedly exclaim. “Why is Brian in a cast for such a long time?”

Answers to this question do not include:
• It’s because the doctor forgot about him.
• The attraction Carolyn has for men in casts is second only to those who wear eye patches.
• Brian enjoys not being able to do the dishes.

No, alas. The answer is much more embarrassing. You see, the photos depict two different casts treating two separate injuries. Here are the details:

About one week (actually, closer to six days and twenty-three hours) after Brian got his first cast off, he decided to jog to work. On the way, he stepped in a hole, twisted his ankle, fell and reinjured the same wrist in the same spot.

I guess you might say that Brian gets another break from doing the dishes.

(pardon the pun, but I couldn’t resist)

Preparing for Sadie

As you can probably tell from the above picture, we have been waiting for the arrival of the newest Adams. But we haven't sitting idly by, for there is a lot to be done in preparation. And Célia Marie took an active role in those preparations.

She helped cleaned the livingroom.



She helped with the dishes.



She helped cook and freeze a few dinners in advance



...and she made a few treats, too.



In fact, Célia Marie was so excited about getting the house ready for her sister that instead of taking a nap one day she decided to redecorate the walls and door of her bedroom with the new crayons she received at Christmas.



Thank goodness she isn't any taller.
